About Me

Maybe the reason I need to exercise?

Maybe the reason I need to exercise?

Hi there. I’m Eric. From this blog you can deduce that I like Tolkien and I do my best to exercise. So let me try to sort everything else out.

The basics: I live in Seattle and am a vegan. Even so, I’m a fairly nice guy. I’m a screen printer by trade (and a bit by hobby – Here’s my Etsy shop). I travel, write a daily Civil War blog, and shoot film through vintage cameras.

I can generally hold my own in conversations about vinyl records, cooking, eating, roller derby, Vespas (though now currently only own one), 1930s gangster films, comics, jackalopes, mixes, the catastrophic ice age floods in eastern Washington (Pleistocene epoch, of course), car camping, trains, vintage stereo equipment, Route 66, Krishna Consciousness, Duran Duran, Godzilla, and several species of small furry animals.

I hope you enjoy this little jaunt. I hope I do, too.

  2. Love this blog. I am so glad that you found my post. I love Tolkien, I love exercise, we love to travel, and our little household is vegan, too. Thus, we have a lot in common (save for the fact that I am on the east coast and so desperately want to be out west when the kids grow some). Thanks for finding me, and I am looking forward to reading more. 🙂
